April. Dual Graphics purchases another state of the art
press, Heidelberg XL105, a 6-color plus Aqueous Coater
equipped with closed loop color control. Efficient
make-readies and run speeds up to 18,000 impressions per
hour compliment Dual’s existing and reputable value.

January. Although the company has been offering Digital
Photography for years in a smaller capacity, Dual
Graphics celebrates the opening of their brand new
Photography Studio. Studio occupies approx. 2,400
square feet and is equipped with a double cove wall,
dressing room and separate prep/staging area.

January. Also a service provided by Dual Graphics for
years, the company expanded its Mail Services by
allocating additional space and installing state of the
art inserting, tabbing and inkjet addressing equipment.

Dual Graphics records a new company milestone of more
the $17 million in sales for the year.

In only its twelfth month of existence, Dual Graphics
Digital Department (iGen3) was recognized by Xerox for
surpassing the 1,000,000 impressions mark in the month
of October.

In the third quarter, Dual Graphics earned Forest
Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody
certification.

In the first quarter, Dual Graphics expands to take over
remaining 25,000 square feet of purchased second
building. The company now occupies 100% of both
buildings which total 60,000 square feet.
2006
Dual Graphics installs Xerox iGen3 Digital Press with
the extended (14.33 x 22.5”) format in the fourth
quarter.
2005
Dual Graphics installs Kodak PRINERGY Workflow System
equipped with InSite. This system extended Dual’s
integration, collaboration and automation capabilities,
as well as enhancements for PDF and color workflows.
2004
Jim Joyce assumes role of CEO and takes over
operations. Today, with more than 100 employees, Dual
Graphics operates in a 62,000 square-foot facility in
northern Orange County. The facility operates on a
24-hour production schedule, five days a week.
Production departments also operate on weekends as
required.
2003
Dual Graphics completes the integration of Southern
California Lithographics and Gardner Lithograph. Dual
Graphics installs a digital and film product photography
studio.
2001
Dual Graphics expands again by purchasing the adjacent
building and increasing warehouse space. The company
begins fulfillment and distribution services.
2001
Orange County [CA] Business Journal ranks Dual Graphics
number eight of the “Top 50 Commercial Printers in
Orange County” and number two of the sheet-fed shops.
2000
Dual Graphics records a company milestone of more than
$15 million in sales for the year.
1999
Dual Graphics partners with nationwide Superior Printing
Ink Co. and installs on-premises complete color-matching
and ink-mixing facility.

The company leases space in a building next door for
additional office and storage facilities.

Dual Graphics purchases its fourth press, a 6-color,
40-inch Heidelberg CD with aqueous coating, CPC-3
controls, and online Spectrophotometer.

Dual Graphics becomes an early adopter of the
computer-to-plate, all-digital workflow system.
1995 The
Joyce brothers purchase Premier Printing Corporation and
move the expanded Dual Graphics to its current location
in Brea.
1994
Dual Graphics adds an electronic prepress department.
1991
Richard Joyce retires and sons Jim and Jeff Joyce assume
operation of the company.
1980
Richard Joyce buys out Record Printing and acquires the
Anaheim building.
1977
Dual Graphics moves to a larger location in Anaheim,
sharing space with another printing house, Record
Printing.
1971
Richard P. Joyce partnered with Wayne Dutt at Dual
Graphics, with only four employees and two small
printing presses (15 and 20 inches). Nine months later,
Richard Joyce buys out his partner, and Jim Joyce signs
on to assist with the fledgling Anaheim shop. |
